    Seqwater is working with Moreton Bay Regional Council to manage wild dogs on land near North Pine Dam.

    Under the Biosecurity Act 2014, wild dogs are a restricted invasive pest species.

  • Lake Baroon - Swimming area and boat ramp closures

    The swimming area at the Southern recreation area is temporarily closed in the interest of public safety. The swimming area will be reinstated in the coming months in line with the requirements of a recent review conducted by Surf Life Saving Qld.

    This review also resulted in the permanent closure of the swimming area at the Northern recreation area at Lake Baroon.

    The boat ramp at the Northern recreation area remains temporarily closed due to low water levels.

  • Lake Borumba (Borumba Dam) and Lake Moogerah (Moogerah Dam) reopen to primary recreation

    Lake Borumba and Lake Moogerah have re-opened to primary recreation such as skiing and swimming.

    The latest water quality test results indicate it is safe to re-open the lakes to primary recreation following recent heavy rainfall in the catchment.

    Play it safe and exercise extreme caution when accessing the alkes as conditions in the lake may have changed during the closure. Please remain vigilant and be aware of submerged hazards.

    Thank you for your patience during the recent temporary closure of these lakes.

    Ewen Maddock Dam has re-opened to primary recreation (swimming).

    The latest water quality test results indicate it is safe to reopen the lakes to primary recreation following recent heavy rainfall in the catchment.

  • Lake Wyaralong - Bills Link mountain bike trail remains temporarily closed

    The Bills Link mountain bike trails at Lake Wyaralong remains temporarily closed until further notice.

    The trail needs substantial repair works, and will remain closed until this work is complete.

    Black Rock trail has been reopened with access to the top of the trail via Grass Tree Track.

    All other trails at Lake Wyaralong are open for the public to enjoy. Please play it safe and exercise caution on the trails as conditions may have changed since your last visit.
