We recognise the importance of community education and offer a range of activities and tours to increase understanding of the urban water cycle in an unpredictable climate.

Seqwater understand that an informed and knowledgeable community is important to securing our long-term water future. Through education we are able to connect the dots between everyday water practices and water for life.

We work with our supply chain partners to help build a better understanding of how our region’s water supply is managed and the processes involved, as well as increasing knowledge about catchment management and the total water cycle.

Up a Dry Gully

Up a Dry Gully is an online portal that challenges primary and secondary students to explore and understand our water cycle, water security and sustainability. Lesson plans and water education resources are available that link to the Australian National Curriculum.

Take the challenge and visit Up a Dry Gully.

Visitor centres

Seqwater brings water storage to life at its interactive visitor centres located at Hinze Dam and Wivenhoe Dam. The centres put learning into the hands of the community, allowing our customers the space and freedom to learn at their own pace.

Hinze Dam also offers a fully catered space that is available for bookings and private functions. To visit a centre today, check our opening hours or email community@seqwater.com.au for more information.
